James Wold
James
was raised in Chicago in a musical family. His professional career began at
the age of 9 as a jingle singer and voice-over actor for corporate monsters
such as McDonald's, Chick Filet, Marshall Fields, and Kellogg to name a few.
At the age of 12, James got his first guitar and subsequently stopped paying
attention in class and was playing in fledgling bands by age 14. He began
performing as a solo act at sweet 16 and was soon writing songs of his own.
The rest is a blur…. Until… he moved to Nashville in 2003. Since then, he's been doing what he loves most… writing, recording, producing, performing, and complaining about the music business. Some kidding aside, his band "The Wheels" has just completed their first album co-produced by multi-Grammy award winner David Leonard. As a songwriter, he's recently had songs recorded in Japan, Canada, the UK, Nashville, as well as all the songs on "The Wheels" debut album.
James produced the band America on Yuming tribute album, which was a number one record in Japan. James has recently had two songs recorded by British singer/personality Tony Christie, whose last album reached number one on the UK charts. James was the headliner for a Vanilla Ice concert. James once jammed with John McEnroe!
